{Marostica} Live Chess Match 12 Sept 2010

We went to Marostica for the Live Chess Match. It occurs every even year, re-playing the original chess match that took place in 1454. The match was held by Lord Taddeo Parisio to determine which of the 2 princes would marry his daughter. He held the chess match instead of a dual, because he didn't want to make enemies of either side.






















This was Mark, Mark & my second time seeing the match. We went in 2000, when Mark was almost 1yr. old :)

{Florence} 10 Sept 2010

A beautiful city! We took the train from Padova to Florence and spent the day exploring the city.
